The Process

457 Migration and Legal is committed to providing every client with personal and professional service. You will be provided with accurate and clear advice written in plain and easy to understand English. (However if you require the advice to be in another language then this will be arranged). The advice you will receive will be specifically tailored to your individual situation and it will be geared towards achieving both your short term and long term objectives. You will be kept up to date and informed at every stage of the process.

Generally the process will be as follows:

You will have an initial interview either in person or over the phone. The purpose of this interview is to obtain information about you and your circumstances so your options and situation can be assessed. You may also need to provide some documents to us for review.
We will provide you with a letter of advice detailing your options, and our recommendations. We will provide you with an estimate of our fees and the visa fees you will be required to pay. We will also let you know roughly how long the process will take.
We will let you know which documents are required to lodge your application. We will collate these documents.
We will complete the application forms and attach all of the necessary documents to the application and lodge the application. At this stage you will be required to pay a lodgement fee to the Department of Immigration. This fee is different for each visa.
We will liaise with the Department of Immigration on your behalf. For many applications a specific case officer will be assigned to the application. We will keep you updated on any progress or further requirements in regard to your application.
The Department of Immigration will make a decision in respect of your application. We will inform you of the decision, and provide you with any necessary explanation.
